The Monterey Institute for Technology and Education is an educational non-profit organization committed to improving access to education. MITE (pronounced "mighty") sponsors a range of projects from establishing development standards and specifications for online courses, to educational research and multimodal content development. One of MITE's cornerstone projects are the National Repository of Online Courses. NROC Network is a community of educators, administrators, technologists, and designers working together to develop high-quality, online content and instruction. The Network addresses the common need among educational institutions for quality online content and professional development of faculty.
