Linda G. Roberts, named "America's advocate for educational technology at the highest levels of government" by Smithsonian Magazine, has devoted her career to crusading for issues most important to America's schools. As a member of Curriki's Board of Directors, Roberts plans to help support the organization's mission of building a global community that provides the best Open Source Curricula.

Currently, Roberts is Senior Advisor to Apple Computer and several leading technology companies. She is a Trustee of the Board of the Sesame Workshop and a Trustee of Education Development Center, Inc., and also serves on the Boards of Directors of Carnegie Learning, ProQuest and Wireless Generation. Earlier in her career, Roberts held several posts within the U.S. Department of Education where she developed the first National Technology Plan, launched five new technology programs for the Clinton Administration, and increased the Federal technology budget from $30 million to over $900 million annually. Roberts played a key role in the development of the E-RATE, a $2.25 billion program to bring the Internet and advanced telecommunications to the Nation’s schools and libraries. She is a former elementary school teacher and reading specialist, university professor and Academic Dean.

Roberts holds a Bachelors of Science from Cornell University, a Master of Education from Harvard University, and a Doctor of Education from the University of Tennessee.
