Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administrative Computing and Telecommunications University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Elazar Harel is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administrative Computing and Telecommunications at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where he is responsible for campus-wide information technology services. Prior to that he was the Director of Administrative Computing at UCLA. Some of the recent UCSD initiatives that he has been involved in include: Blink, the UCSD faculty and staff portal (http://blink.ucsd.edu) The Link Family of business applications (http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/linkfamily) MyDashboard: a digital dashboard environment for UCSD managers and executives (http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/mydashboardinfo) The UCSD gigabit Next Generation Network (http://ngn.ucsd.edu) and the UCSD wireless network, one of the largest university wireless networks in the USA. Dr. Harel serves on Thomas Jefferson School of Law's Board of Trustees and on Microsoft's Higher Education advisory board. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Management from UCLA (1987) and a J.D. degree from Concord University School of Law (2002), the nationÕs first 100% Internet-based online law school.
